Mastering Life Skills for Adults with Symptoms of ADHD

Building Skills, Boosting Productivity, and Unlocking Potential.

Public Sector

NICE (2018) Guidelines for ADHD state that the first step in treatment is for the individual to make environmental modifications before medication is prescribed; and this is defined as a “structured supportive psychological intervention focused on ADHD”.

With what is a national crisis in the number of individuals awaiting diagnostic assessment in the UK, it is unacceptable and potentially risk-exacerbating to leave service users to sit on waiting lists without upskilling them to manage symptoms whilst they await diagnostic assessment.

For those who have already been diagnosed with ADHD, little is offered in the Health and Social Care sector due to limited resources which include insufficient funding and lack of availability of specialist clinical skills.

Diagnosis or not, if a service user is struggling to manage their symptoms of ADHD, a holistic and comprehensive life skills program will bring enormous benefit and empowerment to their quality of life, as well as delivering high social value.

The Acendr® program is:

  • Scale-able for your waiting lists
  • High-value low-cost comprehensive program
  • Consistent, comprehensive content delivered in a stimulating, dopamine-enhancing format
  • Set period of access by the organisation (eg 8-12 weeks)
  • No waiting lists to access coaching – 1st line treatment according to NICE guidelines for ADHD (2018)
  • No wasted appointments due to DNA, common in this client group
  • While on a diagnostic assessment waiting list, your service user is already accessing a psychological low-intensity intervention
  • Already piloted in an NHS Trust with excellent results
  • Evidence-based information - researched, written and delivered by an appropriately trained and qualified health professional with lived experience input
  • Collaboratively designed and delivered with an expert by lived experience
  • Reduces expense of employing staff and delivering training to them
  • Available to your service users 24/7 – access at their convenience
  • Reduces need for service user travel, time out from work, childcare
  • No travel costs for service users and reduces environmental cost
  • Repeated access to sessions as required
  • Delivered to the individual - this client group does not tend to enjoy group-work settings (anxiety and overwhelm)

Business and Corporate

The Equality Act (2010) is enforced within the UK and ensures protection for individuals and specific groups within the workplace.  An individual with a neurodiverse condition is protected under this Act.

As part of your compliance as an employer, and general good practice within the workplace, you will want to ensure you have excellent strategies in situ to enhance and contribute to the wellbeing of your employees.

Having an effective strategy for Diversity and Inclusion will complement your D&I Policy and add value to your business, making your company objectives even more effective, and in doing so, you will be offering a supportive, nurturing and engaging environment where your employees can develop and flourish.

When considering the type of support you will provide for your neurodiverse employees, we recommend you:

Choose a life skills program and not specific modules for memory or attention. If your employee struggles with work tasks they will be sure to struggle in other areas of their life outside of work, which will impact their overall performance!

The Acendr® program:

  • Scale-able for your business or organisation
  • High-value low-cost comprehensive program
  • Recognises the importance of an holistic approach for symptom management
  • Consistent, comprehensive content, delivered in a stimulating, dopamine-enhancing format
  • Set period of access by your business or organisation (eg 8-12 weeks)
  • Meets 1st line treatment pathway according to NICE guidelines for ADHD (2018)
  • No unnecessary time taken out of work
  • Fulfilling your employer duty of care for your neurodiverse employees (D&I)
  • Already piloted in an NHS Trust with excellent results
  • Evidence-based information - researched, written and delivered by an appropriately trained and qualified health professional with lived experience input
  • Collaboratively designed and delivered with an expert by lived experience
  • Reduces expense of providing specialist coaching – often difficult to access via Health Insurers
  • Available to your employees today and accessible 24/7 at their convenience
  • No travel costs for your employees and reduces environmental cost of travel
  • Repeated access to sessions as required
  • Delivered discretely to the individual – those with symptoms of ADHD do not enjoy groupwork (often causes anxiety and overwhelm)

3rd Sector

As a third sector organisation, your focus is on creating and increasing social value to help develop and sustain strong communities – locally, perhaps nationally, and potentially across the global stage. You are likely to witness how neurodiversity can affect lives on a daily basis.  We already know that individuals with ADHD are represented at a higher than UK national average for crime, imprisonment, addictions, homelessness, unemployment and NEETS.Many charities, NFP and CIC organisations want to make a difference but have neither the resources nor access to the clinical skills required to offer coaching for this client group.

The Acendr® program:

  • Scale-able
  • High-value low-cost comprehensive program
  • Consistent, comprehensive content delivered in a stimulating, dopamine-enhancing format
  • Set period of access by your organisation (eg 8-12 weeks)
  • Flexible and complementary – fitting around the services you already deliver
  • No waiting lists for your service users to access coaching
  • 1st line treatment according to NICE guidelines for ADHD (2018)
  • Already piloted in an NHS Trust with excellent results
  • Evidence-based information - researched, written and delivered by an appropriately trained and qualified health professional with lived experience input
  • Collaboratively designed and delivered with an expert by lived experience
  • Brings high Social Value for your organisation and community
  • Reduces the cost of employing staff and delivering training to them
  • Available to your service users with 24/7 access at their convenience
  • Reduces the need for your service user travel, time out from work, childcare
  • No travel costs for service users and reduces environmental cost
  • Repeated access to sessions as required
  • Delivered to the individual - this client group does not tend to enjoy group-work settings (anxiety and overwhelm)

Our promise to you

Here at Acendr we specialise in providing holistic, evidence-based, scale-able and cost-effective digital life skills coaching, specifically for adults aged 16+ who have symptoms of ADHD, regardless of whether or not they have received a formal diagnosis

We don't offer our ADHD Acendr program as 'just another module' amongst a collection of courses aimed at several health conditions. Neither do we buy in course content, or use AI generated content, or provide clinical content for any companies.

We want to reassure you from the start that when you choose the Acendr program, you are gaining access to a specialised program which has been developed from our own expertise of ADHD - both clinical and by lived experience, and is delivered using a formula designed to be both brain-receptive and neuro-affirmative-friendly.

We are proud to pledge that we are absolutely and specifically committed to the empowerment, support and personal development of adults bravely facing the daily challenge of living with the many, sometimes traumatising, and frequently debilitating, symptoms of ADHD.

Program user testimonials

Don't just take our word for it!

"The best part about the program is how accessible it is. It was easy to login and explore the site. There are visual and auditory tools so it makes it easier to focus and concentrate. It is clear to see, that the resources are designed by and for neurotypical people and the community is a safe space"
CL, UK
"I like how I can access it when I need, like evenings and weekends when I have more time or energy. I also enjoy the videos and find the content engaging and informative"
KK, UK
"Two specific things that stand out for me; first of all the flexibility to work around your own schedule. This makes it so much easier than trying to fit several appointments into my day, especially as I work shifts. Second, the resources provided are really helpful, even those relating to areas I already have relatively under control"
LM, Northamptonshire
"The best thing about the program is the support it gives people waiting for a diagnosis. When I found out I was on the waiting list for ADHD, there was no further support. This has been a great experience for my feelings to be validated and helpful tips to manage symptoms on ADHD. It is ADHD friendly, easy to complete and there are resources you can keep for life"
Jessica B, Northants
"Since starting the program I have found a feeling of unity, understanding, self-awareness and I no longer feel as alone"
VL, UK
"I like that the course is fairly laid back and easy to get into...and stay focused"
KY, UK
